The success of Hobbs State Park - Conservation Area is directly tied to the support of volunteers and financial supports. Friends of Hobbs is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation making your contributions tax deductible.
Financial contributions received through Friends of Hobbs membership fees and donations have made a significant contribution to the Visitor Center taxidermy exhibits and interactive computer displays.
The salary of the park's part-time Volunteer Coordinator is fully funded by Friends of Hobbs. Successful recruitment and supervision of volunteers across a wide range of activities from classroom teachers to trail maintenance workers is the key role of this important position.
