Visitor Center

  • From Rogers Arkansas: The 17,000 square foot Visitor Center is 14 miles east on State Highway 12. The entrance on the right side of the highway is 1/4 mile east of War Eagle Road.
  • From Eureka Springs Arkansas: Drive south on Highway 23 ten miles. Turn right on Highway 12 and drive 10 miles (through the Clifty community) to the Visitor Center on the left side of the highway.

Historic Van Winkle Trail

Drive approximately 11 1/2 miles east of Rogers Arkansas on Highway 12 to a public parking lot on the south side of the highway. A pedestrian walkway passes through a tunnel under the highway and continues throughout the Historic Van Winkle area. The Sinking Stream Trail can also be accessed from this parking lot.

NOTE: There is no access from this parking lot or trail to the Hidden Diversity Multi-Use Trail.

Shaddox Hollow Nature Trail

Drive 10 miles east of Rogers Arkansas on Highway 12. Turn left on Highway 303 and continue one mile to the trailhead parking lot.

Hidden Diversity Multi-Use Trail

Drive approximately 13 miles east of Rogers Arkansas on Highway 12 to Townsend Ridge Road. Turn right and continue two miles to the primary trailhead parking lot. To reach a secondary parking area, turn right from Highway 12 on Piney Road and continue one mile south.

Pigeon Roost Trail

Drive approximately 14 1/2 miles east of Rogers Arkansas on Highway 12 (about one -half mile east of the Visitor Center) and enter the trailhead parking lot on the left.

Shooting Range

Drive 10 miles east of Rogers Arkansas on Highway 12. Immediately past the intersection with Highway 303, turn right to enter the road leading to the Shooting Range.
